Bianca Amor is a destination that is worth a visit in Calgary if you’re looking for great deals on groceries! They are a food discounter that sells food that is near its expiration date, or sometimes just past the BEST BEFORE DATE. If you’re comfortable eating packaged and canned items that are close to their expiration, then it’s an awesome way to save a lot of money. You can visit their website at www.biancaamor.com.
I believe some of these items might be clearance items due to being discontinued as well. But, who CARES?? Haha

Is there a difference between a best before date and an expiration date?
Yes, apparently there is. Best before dates mean just that, that the product is better before that date, but it’s not like the food goes bad the moment that day passes.
It is illegal to sell food past the expiration date, so they actually do not sell that. They even ask on their website to let them know if anything on their shelf has an expiration date that has already past. The food actually expires on that date, meaning it isn’t safe to eat. (That might be someone’s own decision to make, but legally an expired food cannot be sold.) Hope this makes sense!
Bianca Amor has locations in Calgary, Lethbridge, Red Deer and Edmonton. In BC there are locations in Surrey and Coquitlam. In Saskatchewan you’ll find them in Regina and Saskatoon. And there is also a location to be found in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
There are tons of items to be found there, not just food related. But, since we’re a bargain FOOD blog, I obviously focused on that. 🙂 Hope you find some deals!
