Save On is our favourite grocery store, period. There are many different options while grocery shopping in Calgary, and of course we shop sales at a lot of those supermarkets. But our closest Save On is a peaceful place to shop, and so I try to find the best deals there and stock up as much as we can. Rather than face grocery stores that just stress me out to no end!
With that in mind, and if you are also a Save On afficionado, then here are some deals you need to know about this week (April 16-22, 2026):
Save On deals this week:
- $1.49 day is this coming Tuesday! The listing of those deals is usually a few days before. So, look out for it. They are usually well worth waiting for, and stocking up on a bit if there are enough items in stock.
- 2 lbs of organic strawberries for $6.99 – Great price, AND these were small and delicious berries. Probably the nicest tasting strawberries I’ve had in a few years. Last week they had a digital coupon for an additional dollar off, but this is still a great price even without that.
- More berries! Fresh raspberries or blackberries, 340 grams $4.99. By far the best deal I’ve seen on raspberries this week. This is a double size pack of those little packs that are often over $5.
- Western family frozen BBQ pork ribs – $8.99 for a 610 gram package – These are fully cooked and covered in BBQ sauce. And frozen of course. The $8.99 sale price is if you have the Save On app and download the digital coupon in the My Offers section. (New offers come out every Thursday, so make sure you always download them.) Otherwise, the price will be $10.99, which is still pretty decent.
- $3.99 for Western Family frozen pizzas, thin crust – With nice varieties like Sweet Chili Chicken. A nice freezer stock up price.
I love that berries are on such a good deal this week, since fruit in general is getting pretty pricey. Hope these ideas can help you with your grocery shopping this week.
