If I open a TD Unlimited Chequing Account, I could receive $300.00. This is an email that I received from TD Bank a couple of days ago. The email indicated that because I was a valued TD insurance customer they were making this offer to me for a limited time. I get my home and auto insurance but have no bank accounts with them. This offer seemed interesting and so I thought I would look at it. And of course – I have to share my findings with you! Because we could all do with an extra $300 right about now.
Open TD Unlimited Chequing Account – What Do You Get?
What are the benefits of the the TD Unlimited Chequing Account? The email TD sent to me highlighted a few things below such as:
–No TD fee on any ATM in Canada.
–Free Interac e‑Transfer® transactions.
–Annual fee rebate on select TD credit cards (up to $120) for the first year.
–No monthly fee of $16.95 if you have $4,000 or more in your account at the end of each day in the month.
How Do I Receive the $300.00 When I Open the Account?
The email indicated that I would have to do two things to receive the $300 bonus. First, I have to open a new TD Unlimited Chequing Account by December 6, 2020. The second thing is to complete any two of the following with your new account before February 1, 2021:
–Set up a recurring Direct Deposit from your employer, pension provider or the Government.
–Make an Online Bill Payment through EasyWeb or the TD app (minimum $50).
–Set up a recurring Pre‑Authorized Debit for a monthly bill (like your cellphone) through your new account (minimum $50).
Conclusion
Will I open a TD Unlimited Chequing account? I will not because I already have a similar bank account at my bank and get similar benefits as mentioned above. If I did not have a bank and was looking for a bank to deal with and do business with then I would definitely consider this offer.
As indicated above, you can’t just set up an account and leave $4000.00 in it and receive $300.00. You have to make a commitment to the bank by setting up a few other ongoing transactions with it. Also, it is interesting that other banks such as Scotiabank offer a similar incentive. Lastly, I went to the TD website and noticed that they were offering this deal to all new customers not just people who have TD insurance. So, if you are looking to start a long term commitment with a bank and want to bank an extra $300.00 bucks, this might be the deal for you! Leave a comment if you’ve taken advantage of this deal.
