A common question people wonder about before heading into their local Costco might be: “Does Costco still take Apple Pay?”
Apple Pay has become a very popular way to pay, because it is so convenient! Some people have it linked up right on their Apple Watches, and the rest of Apple users have it on their phones. But, does Costco even take Apple Pay as payment?
Yes, you can pay with Apple Pay at Costco locations both in Canada and the U.S. But, the important thing to note is that the card you’re using on Apple Pay to pay with MUST be a card that Costco would accept as payment in the first place. That means it has to be a Visa card if you’re paying with credit.
Costco’s official site says that it takes most debit card as well. In Canada, that means it must be a bank-issued debit card. And I’m assuming that must be true for in the US as well.
So, as long as you have a Visa card as payment on your Apple Pay OR an approved debit card, then you’re okay. Phew!
