Price matching is an excellent way to save money! Basically, you use either grocery flyers to show the cashier that there is a better price for the exact same item at another supermarket, and then the store will price match to that sale price. It’s an awesome method to save money without having to drive to a lot of different stores to get the best prices.
Does Walmart price match in Canada? In the US?
So, does Walmart price match? They used to, but sadly here in Canada Walmart’s price matching days ended back in 2020. I’m not sure if it had anything to do with the COVID-19 pandemic or not, but they no longer price match.
Even in the U.S. price matching is no longer a store policy at Walmart. In the US they stopped price matching back in 2021.
There are still a few stores that do price match, so double check before you go to see if your supermarket does! I know that here in Calgary Save On Foods (one of my favourite supermarkets!) still price matches. I’ll be doing a post soon about all the stores in the Calgary area that price match, so watch for that. 🙂
