Hi all. Hope it’s a lovely sunny day where you are. Here in Calgary the weather has the nerve to bring some white stuff to us today – yes, I’m talking snow! But, if you know weather here in Calgary, you’ll know that snow can arrive nearly any month of the year.
This week we’re sharing some of Save On Food’s best deals this week. There is a mega coupon event that will get you lots of More Rewards – and More Rewards equals free stuff. We’re all about the free stuff! In fact, we like to say that free is our very favourite price.
So let’s go find some deals!
How to get More Rewards at Save On Foods
More Rewards is the Save On Foods reward programs. You can earn bonus points in a few different ways:
- Earn points by purchasing specific products. For instance, sometimes a certain food or product will give you extra points. For instance, this week in the Save On flyer it shows that if you buy 2 Johnsonville sausages (dinner sausages in the 500 gram packs) you’ll earn 500 bonus points. These points will immediately show up on your receipt after you’ve paid for your groceries – whether you shop in store or at home and do curbside pickup. (Our favourite method of grocery shopping these days.)
- Earn points with BONUS OFFERS – These are often a coupon that is shown in the physical or digital flyer for Save On Foods. You’ll usually need to download the digital version onto your Save On app/Save On More Rewards card. For instance: Spend $100 on groceries, get 2000 bonus points. Bonus tip: I learned this one the hard way! There is a PROMO CODE section on your Save on grocery app – you’ll find it when you’re about to checkout. You can use VIP codes that you find in the flyer in that section to make sure you earn your bonus points. (Some of the recent codes have been VIP18, VIP19, VIP20 and so on.)
- Earn points by checking out MY OFFERS. These are customized offers available to you on your app. There can be big bonus offers – this week if I spend $115 on groceries I’ll get 4600 bonus points. That’s an incredible offer! But you’ll also have offers in your app that you need to load onto your card – for instance bonus offers on more grocery items.
Does Save On charge for curbside pickup?
Amazingly, no! Save On Foods does not currently have a fee for grocery pickup. We’ve been using Save On throughout the pandemic, and have been very impressed by this service. To have someone do your grocery shopping for you, and then simply place them all into your trunk when you arrive is incredible. But to not charge a cent extra? Extraordinary! We just love it.
