Calgary grocery deals this week – July 24-30, 2025

Hey everyone! Sorry I didn’t post yesterday, so this is in fact one day late. But I’m here with the bargains for you to prepare for your big grocery shop of the week as always.

Remember how last week was all about the cherries? And they were SO insanely good too! I bought two different batches – from Save On and Co-op, I believe, and all of them were delicious. Don’t you love this time of year when all the fresh BC produce is heading our way?

Right, well – this week it is all about the blueberries! Blueberries are considered to be a superfood in their own right, and of course they are delicious too. With the deals this week on berries, I would buy an extra package or two *or three if your funds stretch to it!* and freeze them. Blueberries freeze very well. Simply wash them well in a colander or strainer, and then dry them off with a clean dish towel or paper towels. Then, you can freeze them in freezer bags or reusable plastic or glass containers. Be sure to label them, especially if the containers you use aren’t transparent.

There are multiple stores with blueberries on sale this week – 2 lbs for right around the four dollar mark, which is incredibly good! That is, of course, around two bucks per pound of berries. No Frills, Sobeys and Safeway, Superstore and Save On Foods all have them at this price this week.

Who knows what we’ll be stocking up on next week, right? But for this week we have some awesome deals to share. As always – hope it helps. Please bookmark this page and visit us every Thursday for new Calgary Grocery sales posts.

Have a great week everyone! 🙂 And happy frugal shopping to you.

No Frills sales

  • Blueberries – 2 lbs $3.97 – Technically the very lowest price on blueberries this week in Calgary, by about a cent or two.
  • Chicken breasts $5.88/lb
  • Pork combo chops $2.99/lb (About 40% off their regular price)
  • Baguette – 99 cents – I noticed in the flyer that their fresh baked baguettes are always this price. I’m going to search around a bit to see if that’s the lowest baguette price in town. Have you found anywhere lower? And are these pretty good? (I have to eat gluten free – therefore my gluten free blog I run – but I’m looking out for all of you who CAN eat gluten!)
  • Fresh bunch carrots $1.99
  • No Name bagels or English muffins, 6 pack $1.99
  • No Name 100 gram chocolate bars – assorted types and varieties – $1.75 and 50 points on the PC Optimum app (which is $0.50) so in essence you could get family size chocolate bars this week for $1.25 each.

Safeway and Sobeys deals

  • 2 lbs blueberries $3.99
  • Pork loin centre or rib combo chops (Family size) $3.49/lb
  • Corn on the cob 3/$1.98
  • Large cantaloupe $2.99 and 100 points when you buy 2 (Great price! I like buying cantaloupes when they’re on a per ‘item’ offer and not per pound. When you buy them per pound they can get pretty expensive. I’ll be buying one of these this week for sure.
  • Blue Diamond Almond breeze almond milk – tetra packs – 946 ml size – $2.49 each

Walmart grocery deals

  • Blueberries – 1 pint $1.94 (good for if you need a smaller size)

  • Chef Boyardee $1.44
  • Snack pack 4 packs of pudding $1.44
  • Kraft BBQ sauce $0.97 (which is $1 off regular price. Man, if you could snag/find some coupons for this it could be an awesome low price!)

Calgary Co-Op deals

  • Blueberries $4.99 for 2 lbs – a dollar more than many of the others this week, but if you’re going there anyway it’s still a good deal.

  • Michelina’s frozen dinners $1.59 (Limit of 5; over limit price $2.39)

Save On Foods deals

We don’t buy a lot of meat around here, but I’ll be doing better research to be sure to find out the best prices for all of you who do enjoy beef and pork.
