There, I admitted it. It might have something to do with currently reading the City Baker’s Guide to Country Living. There is a LOT of delicious pie baking talk in that book, and I love every single crumbly bit of it! Or, of course, it might also have to do with these unusual circumstances we’re living through, and being home a whole lot more. Therefore, more time to bake pie! And, obviously, eat pie. 🙂

Hi everyone! You know that we love talking about PC Optimum points around here an awful lot. But, the other day I realized that I hadn’t written about anything to do with the popular Airmiles program in a very long time. So today, I want to make that right! Let’s talk about an aspect of redeeming AirMiles that a lot of people might forget about – that you can redeem the AirMiles for products or merchandise. This is especially important now during the pandemic, since the miles you may have collected for travel will go unused. So, treat yourself to something special with those AirMiles instead!
Please remember that you’ll need to have a balance of DREAM MILES rather than CASH MILES to redeem your points for these products.
Eufy by Anker Robovac 35C – Robot Vacuum Cleaner

(More details and current pricing on Amazon here.) Today it costs 1720 Air miles. (Normally you can snag it for 2142 Airmiles, so this deal saves you 20% on how many Airmiles you need to spend.)
Emile Henry Creme Brulee Set with Torch and Dishes
This is an awesome gift idea! A beautiful creme brulee set by Emile Henry (I have a few of their plates, and they are my favourite plates to eat off of.) Not only do you get a creme brulee torch, but also a set of four creme brulee dishes to create your next dessert masterpiece. Is there anything more scrumptious than breaking into that luscious, crunchy sugary layer, down into the creamy custard beneath? YUM!! Oh and creme brulee is almost alwaysgluten free. 1190 Air Miles. (Compare price and product details on Amazon here.)
AirMiles Deals this Week – Redeeming for Stuff (merchandise)

Lenovo is the brand of my laptop, and while it’s not as incredible as a Thinkpad, it’s still an awesome little laptop! (I just checked, and my Lenovo is an IdeaPad.) But Thinkpad is renowned as an excellent laptop – not only one of the best that Lenovo has ever made, but also one of the best, hardest working laptops you can buy, period! Over and over again, reviewers say that these laptops are workhorses – meaning you can rely on them to keep working as you keep putting them through the paces.
Thankfully, you can purchase a Lenovo Thinkpad on Amazon. Currently, they have two different models available for purchase AND both come with free shipping. (Whether or not you have Amazon Prime.)
Lenovo Thinkpad P52s Mobile Workstation/Laptop
Can you say creme de la creme? This Thinkpad gets consistently very high reviews – and you know that tech pros are picky and know what is and isn’t excellent quality.
15.6″ Full HD IPS Technology LED Backlight display
32 GB DDR4 Memory
512 GB Solid State Drive (SSD)
Built in HD Webcam 720 p
4.3 pounds in weight
1 year manufacturer’s warranty from the seller
Called a mobile workstation, because it has more power and computing ability than a regular notebook or laptop computer. Some of the features that distinguish a mobile workstation are: faster graphics processors and more powerful CPUs.
Mobile workstations are helpful for anyone in graphics design or editing that needs to be able to perform those tasks on the go – not just behind a desktop computer.
Some customer comments: “Best laptop I’ve ever owned! I’d recommend it to anybody.”
All reviews thus far on this commercial notebook have been 5/5 – so it’s highly recommended!
If you’re looking to invest in a serious commercial notebook/laptop then the Thinkpad is not to be overlooked. The two models we featured today have different features, but excellent reviews from owners. We hope you find your perfect laptop today!

While I was trying (without much success!) this week to find some foaming soap refills for our soap dispensers, I came upon some great options at Well.ca! This was my first every order with Well.ca and I have to say I’ve been really happy so far. The price on the foaming soap refills were better than anywhere else (Amazon was WAY more expensive, which surprised me!) and the processing was very fast. I’ll post a link to the soap, if they still have any available.
But, while I was there on their site anyway, my bargain hunting tendencies got the best of me and I started to look for the best sales and deals they have going on right now. Here are all the best deals this week:
Watkins Foaming Soap Refills Canada
Like I said, this stuff was hard to find! Both theLemonand Green Tea variety were still available the last time I checked. Each packet of 828 ml size allows you to fill their foaming soap pump about three times. I stocked up, because over this crazy COVID and flu season, I wanted to make sure to not run out of soap! The large packages of refill soap are $6.99 each – the best price I could find, period. If you guys find a better price, please let me know – whether it’s online or offline!
Boiron Products – 25% off at Well.ca until October 25, 2020
Boiron products are a wide range of homeopathic and natural treatments and therapies for cold and flu season. All of these products are on for 25% off until October 25. They have family bundles of cold and flu natural medicines – this one is on sale for $39.13 right now and includes Oscillococcinum and Boiron Stodal for Adults syrup. (That is their type of homeopathic cough and cold syrup; excellent if you want to try something more naturally derived than the cough syrup you generally can get at the drug store.)
CLEARANCE ITEMS at Well.ca this Week
Now for the ultimate money savers! These items are up to 60% off in Well.ca’s clearance section. We’ll start with the cheapest items first, because you know we like cheap around here. 😉
Only $0.25 for SunBum lip balm – I picked up four of the coconut lip balms, because hey – 4 for a buck is an eyepopping kind of deal! Oops, the coconut is sold out but there is still a banana variety that gets a very good rating and a pomegranate flavour too. Has an SPF of 30, which is handy to keep your lips protected in the sometimes harsh sun of winter. (Which has well and truly arrived here in Calgary. Ugh.)
Only $1.50 for Badger Natural Kids sunscreen – regularly $29.00 – Wowser! i need to post these bargains quickly so you guys actually get a chance to snag these before they’re all gone. SPF 40 by the way – and I’m pretty sure the sunscreen police won’t charge you IF you as an adult wear this kids’ sunscreen. (Wish I had seen this one before I placed my order! hahaha)
Only $4.00 for Little Ones toy cleaner– all natural toy cleaner to scrub clean those toys that kids get yucky. Which, of course, is all the toys they touch! The brand on this is Attitude Nature Plus.
I hope you guys can snag whatever items it is you need this week from Well.ca. I seriously want to post this in the hopes that you can get some of these incredible deals before they’re gone. And as a helpful reminder: Shipping is FREE on Well.ca when you spend $35 or more.
Happy shopping, everyone! And hope there’s less snow where you are.
